	WIND the stirring of ideas and the rise of consciousness who would have ever thought that coming from such a dysfunctional background would have set the destiny for an individual to build one of the largest and most influential skateboard companies. fate or not, it took only a short time for this person to find their inspiration. after years of following a wayward path, he was struck with a revelation; one that would change his life forever... john schillereff was in his youth with the only thing keeping him grounded being the subcultures he had submerged himself into and the skateboard under his feet. then one day when listening deeply to bob marley, everything changed it was at that moment that he knew what he had to do; he had to get on the right track and do something positive with himself; his life had been turned around in that one single moment, and that?s where the original inspiration for element's LISTEN TO BOB MARLEY t-shirt came from. that was the first day that his "elementality" began to surface, and things would never be the same. WATER the flowing of ideas into action the first incarnation of element came in the form of a collaborative company called underworld element with a mixture of diverse styles. U.E. for the most part reflected a raw vibe. the company was plagued with fundamental flaws and things started to go downhill. johnny had 2 choices: either take underworld element under is wing and try to turn the flailing business around; or abandon the project and start a new brand altogether. johnny chose a bit of both and did something that he had always wanted to do. he immediately dropped the first half of the company's name (underworld) and turned the entire company around into something positive, something universal that people from all walks of life could identify with. it wasn?t merely a name change; he made drastic changes to what the company represented and the way the public viewed it. element was born, the negative was turned into a positive, and the journey began. FIRE the ignition of flames from only spark becoming what element is today didn?t happen overnight, but good things come to those who wait. "it took years of hard work, imagination and the wil not to give up. we stayed focused, practiced patience, kept our path, and eventually things began to fall into place. as the word spread, the element flame ignited and the wind began blowing a dream team of athletes and individuals in elements direction, fanning the flames with that much more force. "we're all tuned into element...not an image, but exactly who we are from the bottom of our hearts. thats what element is all about...being a positive force in the universe and comfortable in your own skin." we're the top brand in our current market, and there's no questioning why; a great way to endure this world is by using the element way of thinking. so why wouldn?t the flames spread far and wide?"
