I just finished a 4 hour flight which gave me plenty of quality time to dive into Seattle battle rapper Fatal Lucciauno. Born Rahmeece Chevosier Howell to respected Jazz and Gospel singer Josephine Howell, Fatal is pure street. His intelligent, hard-hitting preach is an emotional weave of the life he’s lead since a boy growing up on the streets of Chicago and Seattle. To be true, I don’t write nearly enough Rap/Hip-Hop reviews; I know the talent exists. It’s just not as apparent and often gets lost in the mainstream. That’s why I was more than pleasantly surprised when I launched into Fatal’s freshman CD ‘The Only Forgotten Son’ (2007 Sportin Life Records). Each track is wicked hard and laced with ghoulish lyrics and chill instrumentals. Pay particular mind to ‘Q.U.E.E.N.’, ‘Focus’ and ‘Won’t Change’, my 3 fav cuts. There are a few tracks that didn’t strike a note but all around Fatal Lucciauno will round out any discerning Rap aficionado’s collection. I picked up all 20 tracks at iTunes but you can also pick it up directly at Sportin Life Records.

The Arniko Story

Marius Arniko Arter was born in Nepal and spent part of his childhood in the Valley of Kathmandu.

His enthusiasm for skating has arisen with the first skateboard he received and lasted ever since. While he was still in his apprenticeship as a carpenter, he often used the factory to produce his own skateboards.

After he got his degree, he decided to visit the country of his chlidhood. Arriving in Nepal he already missed his skateboard, realizing that there was no opportunity to buy a skateboard in the whole country. Thus he decided quite simply to manufacture one by himself - it wasn‘t going to be the last one.

In spring 2007 Marius Arter and eleven friends of his from St. Gallen (Switzerland) decided to produce skateboards professionally.

Mission

Arniko Skateboard is a company producing skateboards and street wear in Nepal, selling them all around the globe.

With our products we want to pass on the spirit of Himalaya and bring the joy of cruising an Arniko Skateboard. Because we at Arniko believe in this spirit, it is our goal to give talented woodcarving artists a workplace that is setting benchmarks in social and environmental responsibility.

We believe that there can be change, even in one of the poorest countries in the world, we believe in the abilities of our carving-artists and therefore we believe in the high quality standards of all our products. We believe in the Himalayan spirit, which says respect all people and believe in them.
